Westminster's Vision Statement 2018

This statement was created by the Session of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Greenwood, South Carolina. It is based on congregational input from a visioning session on April 25, 2018, led by Interim Pastor Larry Duncan.

Looking ahead five years, if Westminster is successful:

Westminster’s congregation has 150 active members who reflect the
​​ diversity of the surrounding community.

The church is involved in 5 new or ongoing “hands-on” mission projects with 100% of the active membership involved in at least one project annually.

The congregation makes the Westminster facilities available to other benevolent or charitable agencies or institutions.

Fellowship opportunities are offered at least once a month.

Community forums are planned and implemented once a quarter featuring timely topics, such as “Science and Religion” and “Faith and Politics.”

A choir is in place.

Westminster holds at least 4 special worship services annually.

Westminster maintains a strong educational focus, with Sunday Morning Studies, Presbyterian Women Circles, Men’s Bible Study, and other opportunities during the year.
