What should I wear?
-
Come as you are! You won't see the fashion police patrolling at Westminster. Instead, you'll see everything from blue jeans and sneakers to business suits, dressy dresses and heels. What's in your heart is what's important, not what's on your back.

Whom will I meet?
-
You'll find all kinds of folks here at Westminster! As with many churches, we have a good number of adult families and retirees. Our youth program is growing! Most are students in their early teens. Families with young children (nursery provided) and assorted singles round out the group. God loves every individual He created with all their unique qualities, and so do we. This means you!

What if I don't know what to do?
-
No worries! Every Sunday can be a little bit different, even for old-timers. And so, every Sunday, you'll have a bulletin to follow (available for download when worshipping offsite) that contains a list of all activities of worship that particular day. Generally, the bulletin includes the words we speak together, words to the congregational singing, Bible passages being discussed, and announcements about what's happening in the coming week. And when you attend in person, you can just follow the crowd to know when to stand and when to sit.

What kind of music will I hear?
-
Most of the time, our music is pretty traditional, so you will usually hear organ music and hymns that are familiar to folks who've worshiped with any Protestant denomination. Of course, we also learn new songs along the way, and love to occasionally spice up the proceedings with special music of various types--everything from guitar to harmonica to harp. We hope to start a choir program. And while we don't have a praise band now, you never know what we'll be exploring next!

What if Communion (The Lord's Supper) is served?
-
Communion is a shared "meal" that we celebrate to remind ourselves of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us when He was crucified. As we sometimes sing during this celebration, "This is God's table," and everyone can participate. If you are worshiping remotely, you can use any sort of “bread” and “wine” that are convenient—the important thing is to share in the experience. Because of health concerns, our practice for in-person worship is to provide a basket of self-contained Communion elements in the entryway. Take one as you arrive, and hold on to it. During worship, the Pastor will indicate when all of us should consume the elements at the same time.

What if I'm not sure what I believe?
-
Then you've come to the right place. As you worship at Westminster, you--along with everyone here--will continually learn more about God and His promises, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who is with us always. Listen, ask questions, challenge what you hear, and equip yourself to be an effective seeker of truth. And as you grow in knowledge and understanding, join with us in striving to put our beliefs into action and to live the life God calls us to live.
